Tamara McLorg is a choreographer who has been committed to community dance for over 30 years, creating exciting community projects around the world including  working in diverse contexts from Poland to South Africa and Palestine. Tamara was artistic director of Dundee Rep Dance Company (now Scottish Dance Theatre) which won the prestigious Digital Dance Award under her directorship, and a Senior Lecturer at Middlesex University. She is currently both a performer and choreographer for The Performance Ensemble, a company of older performers led by Alan Lyddiard and based at Leeds Playhouse.  The masterclass workshop will be contemporary based starting with a warm-up, followed by a sequence and finishing with some creative work where participants can develop their own dance material. All abilities welcome.

Tamara McLorg ist gefragt, sei es als Trainerin, Choreografin und auch gelegentlich als Soloperformerin, wie kürzlich in Kathmandu. In diesem Jahr sind ihre weiteren beruflichen Stationen Berlin, Portugal, Mexiko, Bethlehem, Bozen, Wien, Leeds und London. Dass die britische Choreografin für Projekte mit Jugendlichen, SeniorInnen und Menschen mit Behinderung immer wieder engagiert wird, liegt einerseits an ihrer Empathie und ihrer choreografischen Erfahrung, vor allem aber an ihrer Leidenschaft, mit der sie Menschen durch und für den Tanz überzeugt und begeistert.
